Avoid waterlogging with the right soil probes

The best place to measure moisture is in the bottom third of the pot. Why? Because the watering water sinks to the bottom over time, and moisture accumulates in the lower area. To prevent overwatering, we designed the Beam so that the soil probes can be adjusted to the size of the pot and plant – up to a pot height of 60 cm! Check out how big your pot is and order the rods at the same time .

Placement Tips for the Sensor Probes

The probes should not stick out of the soil – this ensures the most reliable measurements.

The tips of the probes should reach into the lower third of the pot – this way the sensor also detects deeper moisture levels.

Make sure the probes don’t touch a drainage layer (e.g. clay pebbles) – this could distort the readings.
