Gladys Assistant, a free and open-source smart home platform, now includes a community integration for FYTA Beam sensors. Built by William-De71, it connects FYTA Beam sensors to Gladys via the official FYTA Public API, exposing soil moisture, light, temperature, pH and battery level as device features.
The integration installs in one click from the Gladys integrations catalog (Gladys 5.1.0 or later required). Once set up, each plant linked to a FYTA Beam appears as a device in Gladys. Two dashboard widgets provide a prioritized overview of all plants by care status and a detail view of a single plant with its picture. Scene triggers enable automations such as notifications for low soil moisture, low battery or a sensor going silent.
Data transmission requires a FYTA Hub or the FYTA app near the sensor.
This is a community contribution, not an official FYTA product. Source code and documentation are available on GitHub and at gladysassistant.com.
